AFI World Peace Initiative

The American Pavilion hosted a brunch this morning with various guests, including the team that worked on “Sharkwater Extinction,” a documentary created by conservation and filmmaker Rob Stewart. In attendance were Rob’s parents, and executive producer Patrice Theroux. At the award ceremony that took place during the brunch, Filmfestivals.com’s Bruno Chatelin received two awards with the team from “Sharkwater Extinction.” The first award was for raising awareness of extinction and the need for preservation through film. Rob’s parents spoke about the need for the continuation of their son’s work and more work like his in the future. The second award was similar and recognized the teams efforts on the film and spreading awareness once more. All the awards were presented by princess Angelique Monét.
