Golden Calf Awards 38th edition Nederlands Film Festival

The 2018 Golden Calf awards were handed out during the L’OR Golden Calf Gala of the 38th edition of the Nederlands Film Festival (NFF) Friday 5 October. During the ceremony the best film, television and interactive productions from the past year were awarded with the most prestigious prizes in Dutch cinema. The biggest winner was Bankier van het verzet (The Resistance Banker) which was won for Best Production Design, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor and Best Feature Film. The film also won the Audience Award.

This year’s festival has been a major success, with 83 premieres among its 275 features, short films, documentaries, television dramas, interactive productions and music videos. NFF presented the new and dynamic generation of Dutch talent, offered a renewed professionals programme as well as an extensive education programme.

Winners Golden Calf awards – Academy

Winners in the Feature Film and Long Documentary categories are determined by an academy system, introduced in 2015 in the Netherlands. Eligible to vote are previous Golden Calf winners, Dutch first-prize winners at A-list festivals worldwide and members of the Dutch Academy For Film (DAFF).
