"From On High" to play Venice with Festival Pasinetti!

"From On High" has been selected to the 15th annual Festival Pasinetti in Venice, Italy, named for honored Italian documentarian Francesco Pasinetti. Helmed and written by Dawn Westlake and produced by her shingle Ron de Cana Productions, "From On High" tells the story of a Syrian refugee girl who finds a better life in Europe.

The film was made on location in Barcelona, Collsuspina, and La Sala de Sant Llogari in Catalunya, Spain. Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona shot and edited. GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs provided an original score. "From On High" marks the professional acting debut of 11-year-olds Zoe Pinell Lopez and Esteve Serra Coll.
