Jihlava IDFF – Last Call for film submissions – May 31, 2018

Dear friends of Ji.hlava IDFF,





You still have some time to submit your film to Ji.hlava IDFF. Deadline for films produced in 2018 is May 31, 2018.



You can also submit a rough cut of your film by July 31, 2018.



Also, don't be shy with your VR projects, we'd love to have them at Ji.hlava! Our deadline for VR installations and Documentary or educational computer games is June 30, 2018.



We also consider animated documentaries, online documentary projects or any of the cross-genre TV formats (docudrama, docusoap, reality show or mockumentary, virtual reality). The length of the film is not important, we accept submissions of both feature and short-length documentaries.

The Ji.hlava IDFF is a celebration of creative documentary film and the largest event of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, taking place from October 25 to 30, 2018 in the Czech Republic. We approach documentary films primarily as unique artworks dealing with significant topics and the festival introduces unique artworks in ten competition sections and presents notable films in numerous other sections focusing on contemporary cinema, retrospectives and much more.



Ji.hlava IDFF has been chosen by the European Film Academy (EFA) for the pre-selection of films to the European Award for the Best Documentary Film of the Year. Also, winners of the Short Joy award will be eligible for the pre-selection in the Documentary Short Subject category of the Academy Awards®.
