An Irish grandmothers unexpected departure from her lonely life. 

The film tells the story of a lonely Irish Grandmother called Alma. Faced with the prospect of yet another Christmas without her emigrated Family, Alma is at an all time low. This almost tragedy quickly turns into a comedy as the universe conspires to bring her closer to her family than she could ever have imagined

Director Biography - Aoífe Doyle

Aoífe Doyle is the creative director and co-founder of Pink Kong Studios based in Dublin, Ireland.

Aoífe's background in classical animation led her to work for over a decade in Ireland's booming animation sector before co-founding Pink Kong Studios. She is the creative driving force of the studio, guiding artists and ensuring the studio adheres to the creative vision.

Aoífe most recent director credits include: 

"Departure" 2017 (Irish Film Board)(SHORT FILM) 

"Urban Tails" 2017 (RTÉ)(SHORT FILM & TV SERIES) 

"Ends Meet" 2017 (RTÉ)(TV SERIES)

Aoífe's work has won awards such as, Festival Minuto (2015) Best in show 2009 & Gold for a Digital media Award (2010). Her films have been shown everywhere from New York to Mumbai, and her short film “Nana’s Strawberry Preserve” was chosen to represent Irish Animation in the “focus on Ireland” in Annecy2012.
