SYNOPSIS - The sudden drowning of Hassane at Beirut’s seaside corniche sparks a mob funeral. His friends, who hail from different communities, have to grapple with loss and with the struggle to partake in his community’s rites and ceremonies. The life and death journey that the young man takes on his last day of life exposes the schisms of the city and the fault lines lining up its society, revealing some of the forces pushing the lives of a marginalized young men.

SYNOPSIS - A small crew is going around Marrakech and its surroundings looking for swimming pools to find locations for the remake of an American movie in which a man crosses a county, pool by pool, to reach his home. Corrado, a ‘stand-in’, tries the shots to find the path through the city and the pools that the main character will run and swim through. At the same time it’s as if the need to become more than just a stand-in takes over him. Corrado feels all the dignity of an actor and he wants to demonstrate he could be as good as any other professional actor. And so, while we observe his struggles, we start seeing the real actors and crew working on set between doubts and shouts. A film looking for where the real film is.

The media and politics creep into the family intimacy but she reflects about it with humor and determination. For the kids, she invents real life stories instead of fairy tales and keeps her desire to see a future of hope. Our every single gesture, from getting up in the morning onward, is an act of responsibility which starts to change the world.
