VICIOUS CAT

KRISTIJAN MILIĆ



Director from Zagreb, Croatia. In 2008 his debut feature The Living and the Dead won the Vicious Cat award, while his second film opened the 11th edition of Grossmann in 2015. At our past editions we have also screened his short films, and he has also directed some of the episodes for the first season of acclaimed TV crime series Rest in Peace. His new feature Dead Fish will have its premiere screening at this year's Pula Film Festival.

 

GUY DELMOTE



Co-founder of the BIFFF (Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival) in 1983, the EFFFF (European Fantastic Film Festival Federation) in 1986 and the Meliès competition in 1996. Already in 1979, he and his brother Georges founded the non-profit organisation PeyMey Diffusion to promote films, music, arts and literature.Guy has made his festival one of the craziest and most enjoyable fests in the world, and is looking forward to the new chapter of its brand new BIFFF Market.

 

TIMO VUORENSOLA



Finnish film director and producer. He has directed acclaimed sci-fi comedy Iron Sky, as well as Star Wreck V: Lost Contact and Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning, the latter was also screened when he visited Grossmann in 2010. Iron Sky sequel The Coming Race will have its premiere screening in February 2018.

 

 

 

SLAK'S VICIOUS CAT / MELIES D'ARGENT

 

STEPHANE EVERAERT



Director of short film Loose Ends which won the Melies d'argent award at Grossmann 2015, while his short horror comedy GPS was screened in our 2016 Melies d'argent selection. He got his master degree from RITS in 2003. BIFFF’s official presenter since 2009.

 

 MARKUS KEUSCHNIGG



Director and co-founder of Austria’s first Festival of Fantastic Film: /slash film festival. He has worked as a film critic for several Austrian media like the daily newspaper Die Presse and the radio station FM4 for more than ten years. He’s also involved with Austrian genre film production, for example serving as script consultant for 2014’s award-winning Goodnight Mommy.

 

ALIN LUDU DUMBRAVA



Graduate of the Bucharest Theater and Film Academy, 1994 in screenwriting and film criticism and of the European Film College Ebeltoft, Denmark, 1996. After 12 years of experience in television (writer-producer for HBO Romania, film program analyst on PRO TV), he is now a freelance film critic, writer and screenwriter.

 

NOISY CAT

 

IGOR VIDMAR



Journalist, activist and concert organizer. In 1981 he founded the legendary Novi Rock Festival. He organized literally hundreds of concerts. Momentarily he is one of the authors of the Drugi Val show at Radio Slovenia and a long-time collaborator of TV show Studio City.

 

TONI ŠARIČ



Founder and director at DORF, Croatian festival of music documentaries. In his CV you can find about hundreds of concerts, book promotions and various cultural events organised under his guidance. Father of 2 kids and big fan of garage soul music.

 

DUNJA DANIAL



Director of documentary Rejects of the Second Generation - Following the Traces of Punk that won the Noisy Cat award last year. She has a BA in Digital Arts and Practices at School of Arts, University of Nova Gorica. Co-organizer the R.A.F.A.L. concert cycle at AKC Metelkova Mesto.
