Years later, she and Pesci divorced, she remarried, and then in 2000 was convicted on 2 counts of trying to have him killed.

Interesting Fact 3: Most conversations between Pesci and De Niro were improvised.

The Japanese high roller was based on Akio Kashiwagi’s life. He was a high roller in the 1970s and 1980s who ended up owing millions upon millions to many of the top casinos around the world. He was murdered in 1992 by the Japanese mafia.
