"Scrappy" to represent the USA in the Premio Carpine d'Argento!

"Scrappy" has been nominated for the Premio Carpine d'Argento for films on social issues in Visciano, Italy for June 30-July 2, 2017. Based on the Studs Terkel Humanities Award-winning poem by Donald G. Westlake, "Scrappy" takes on the gun culture in the US. It's the only American film in the international competition.

Helmed by Dawn Westlake, the film was shot/edited by Pol Carrizo-Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona. The film stars Nefertina Lizarraga, Dismas, GrissyG, Bruce Rheins and is narrated by Dawn Westlake. GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs scored.
