Women in Entertainment Panel

Join our female-driven, NYC Indie Film Festival panel with moderator Megan Boyle as she speaks to top professionals throughout the entertainment industry. Learn how these women use their voice to play a role in tackling various issues facing American society today and how they use their position to further these conversations. We’ll also hear about what they are doing to stand up against and/or change the current political climate.

Jessica Sobhraj, Women in Music/Cosynd: Jessica Sobhraj is a 10+ year veteran of the entertainment industry and currently serves as CEO of Cosynd - an easy, cost-effective, and legal way for content creators to collaboratively determine ownership of IP, monetize that IP, and minimize liability. She also serves as President of Women in Music, which is a 30 year old non-profit that provides services to 1200+ industry professionals around the world. As President, Jessica oversees WIM's rapid expansion via chapters in New York, Boston, LA, DC, Nashville, Brazil, The Caribbean, and more.



Debra Solomon, Women in Animation: Debra makes short animated films. She writes music and sings it in her films. She began a dream project which is a digital record album while finishing her award-winning short animated film "My Kingdom", 2015 Best Animation Winner at NYC Independent Film Festival, (about a crazy meditation on personal space), and a short called Rockin the USSR the legendary Susan Gilman (the women who started the first FM radio station in the former Soviet Union).
