Jai Courtney JOINS beef
THE EXCHANGE attached Jai Courtney (SUICIDE SQUAD, TERMINATOR: GENISYS, DIVERGENT) to the movie BEEF, starring Timothy Olyphant (Justified, The Santa Clarita Diet) and Thomas Mann (ME AND EARL AND THE DYING GIRL, KONG: SKULL ISLAND).
WME Global is handling domestic rights.
Courtney is represented by Silver Lining Entertainment, Morrissey Management and UTA.
The Exchange introduced Jeff Lock's 2014 Black List script BEEF to international buyers at AFM'16 and will be selling the title at the upcoming 2017 European Film Market in Berlin, February 9-17, 2017.
Starring Jai Courtney, Timothy Olyphant and Thomas Mann, BEEF will be directed by John Stalberg Jr. (HIGH SCHOOL).
BEEF is also produced by Tom McNulty from MC2 Entertainment (DATE NIGHT, THE SPECTACULAR NOW, TABLE 19).
BEEF is the story of Jason (Mann), a general manager at a mid-western branch of Beefy's, a fast food restaurant that's as good as it sounds. In hopes of escaping his bleak small town, he makes a $10,000 bet that was supposed to be a sure thing. When he loses, it puts him in the cross hairs of a comically brutal crime syndicate, led by Brian Gill (Olyphant) and his second in command, Dipper (Courtney), leaving him just 24 hours to ingeniously outwit a rogue gallery of thugs. Jason decides his only way out is to rob the place he knows best: Beefy's. But since this is probably the worst day of his life, things are guaranteed to get bloody.
