Tiberius Film acquires Bestselling Adaption COLD SKIN and other Film Highlights

In the framework of the Berlinale 2017 the German independent film distributor Tiberius Film is happy to announce top-class purchases. In addition to the spectacular screen adaption COLD SKIN of the Spanish bestselling novel “La pell freda”, Tiberius Film secured the rights to the fantasy-movie VAMPS and the horror-thriller FROM A HOUSE ON WILLOW STREET.

The thriller COLD SKIN is the movie adaption of the classic sci-fi-novel “La pell freda” by Albert Sánchez Piñol. Early 20th century: a young man wants to start a new life on a remote island in the South Atlantic. The only resident on the island is a mysterious lighthouse keeper. A seemingly idyllic setting: but as soon as the sun sets, the newcomer is attacked by strange beings. After "Frontier(s)“ and "Hitman“, filmmaker Xavier Gens decided to adapt the international bestselling novel into a thrilling movie. The leading role is being played by David Oakes ("Borgias“, "Victoria“).

The fantasy-epos VAMPS by director Sergey Ginzburg takes place in Russia in the 1800s. A wise monk, confessor for Czarina Elizabeth, is exiled into a remote monastery in the Carpathians. His banishment also means the loss of his century-old secret knowledge. A couple of years later, the Czarina sends her nephew Andrey to bring the monk back. On the long way home, both men must fight against demonic creatures and dark powers...

In FROM A HOUSE ON WILLOW STREET by director Alastair Orr ("Indigenous“) the boundaries between victim and perpetrator seem to get blurry: a rich diamond merchants daughter is abducted by four ruthless kidnappers. The father only has a short amount of time to provide the demanded diamonds. His daughter, who is held hostage in a basement, seems to have a dark secret herself. The abduction was a big mistake... The leading role is played by Sharni Vinson ("Bait“, "You’re Next“ and "Step Up 3D“).
