Göteborg Film Festival releases the 2017 Nostradamus report

The recent developments in exhibition technologies and formats, VR storytelling, and the abundance of filmed content for film and television are three topics discussed in the new Nostradamus Screen Visions report, presented today at Nordic Film Market.



The aim of the Nostradamus project, launched by Göteborg Film Festival and Lindholmen Science Park in 2014, is to analyse the near future of the screen industries and identify key trends and developments to keep an eye on. The annual report is based on interviews with international industry experts, and presented at the film festival.



For the 2017 report, writer Johanna Koljonen has interviewed Bobby Allen, VP of Content, MUBI; Catharine Des Forges, Director, Independent Cinema Office; Tomas Eskilsson, Head of Strategy, FilmVäst; Domenico La Porta, Director, R/O Institute; Joëlle Levie, Director of Operations, Olffi; Fredrik af Malmborg, Managing Director, Eccho Rights; Roberto Olla, Executive Director, Eurimages.





At the seminar today, Johanna Koljonen presented the report and led a discussion about how the fast changes in the industry impact the creative output, with panelists Rikke Ennis, CEO TrustNordisk; Roberto Olla, Executive Director, Eurimages; Charlotte Sieling, director; and Mattias Nohrborg, Producer at B-Reel Films and Head of Acquisitions at TriArt Film.
