The 18th International Cloud Expo New York (CloudExpoNY 2016) commenced June 7-9, at Javits Center, NYC. Produced by SYS-CON Media, annually presents the world’s most innovative cloud technologies, IoT (Internet of Things), Big Data, Analytics, Web RTC (Web Real-Time Communication) and DevOps (Development and Operations); along with keynote presentations; conference sessions; panel discussions; workshops; exhibitors show floor; special events and opening night reception.
This year’s CloudExpoNY included Cloud Container and Microservice technologies to support DevOps environment; exhibitors show floor; opening keynote presentation Introduction to Blockchain with speaker Andrew Keys, CEO, ConsenSys Enterprise; conference sessions Creating Horizontal IoT Marketplaces and Democratizing Apps and Services with Esmeralda Swartz, VP, Marketing Enterprise and Cloud, Ericcson; Configuring Database as a Service with SoftLayer and Bluemix with speaker Ryan Tiffany, sales engineer, SoftLayer, an IBM company; and the launch session of Zero to Cloud in 60 Minutes (Accelerite CloudSense) with speaker Nara Rajagopalan, CEO, Accelerite.
The first day of the conference began with a memoriam tribute video honoring the legacy of former Cloud Expo Conference Chair Jeremy Geelan (1957-2016) presented by Roger Strukhoff, @CloudExpoNY, @ThingsExpo, SYS-Con Media editor for Cloud Computing, Big Data, and IoT journals.
