Chin Han to Headline “A Different Sun”

Principal Photography on the film begins in upstate New York

Wild Invention Pictures and Monolith Pictures announced today that Chin Han (“The Dark Knight,” “Independence Day,” “Contagion,”) will star in the independent drama “A Different Sun.” Written and directed by Reed Tang, the film is shooting in Dutchess County and Orange County, NY. “A Different Sun” is being produced by Dallas M. Brennan (“The Lifeguard,” “The Loneliest Planet,” for Wild Invention Pictures and  Michael Goodin (“Meskada,” “Freedom”, “Affluenza”) for Monolith Pictures.



“A Different Sun” is the story of a young couple that emigrates from China to Germany with their young daughter. It chronicles the pain of transitioning to a different country and the pressures that can put on a marriage.

The script is based on the critically acclaimed short story of the same title by Liu Ying.



“I'm so excited to be working with such a great talent on 'A Different Sun.' Reed said.  Chin Han is best known for his roles in “The Dark Knight,” “Contagion,” “Marco Polo” and can next be seen in “Independence Day: Resurgence.”  He is represented by Andrew Ooi for Echelon Talent and Van Johnson.
