"Cannes: Screen Jury Grid gets new joint leader"

Screen rules: 

After days of domination by "Carol" among selected critics Hou Hsiao Hsien's "The Assassin " moves a few points ahead of Todd Haynes and surpasses the water mark that has been consistent for days. 

"The Assassin" is very much the top contender for the Palme d'Or for this year's Cannes, according to film critics, due to an exceptional mis en scène - costume, makeup, lighting, movement of characters, a contemplative film language, and stunning cinematography.
