24th International DJ Expo Coverage

The 24th International 2014 DJ Expo (DJExpo14) commenced August 11-14, at Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. Produced by DJ Times magazine and Testa Communications, the event annually showcase the world’s latest technology in DJ systems by top industry leaders along with artist panel discussions, seminars, hands-on workshops, keynote presentations, exhibitors show floor, awards ceremony, networking events, and sponsored evening entertainment with emerging and established artists.

This year’s expo celebrated the launch of United States Disc Jockey Association (USDJA) presenting mobile and club DJ industries with marketing strategies. The amazing exhibitors’ floor showcased the new Chauvet DJ Lighting FlareCON Air, a palm-sized device that turns your Smartphone or tablet into a lighting controller. Pioneer DJ 20th anniversary product release included the DDJ-SX2 performance DJ controller, the PLX-1000 modern classic turntable, and Rekordbox 3.0 music management software. The live demo rooms featured Carnival Cruises and QSC.

DJExpo 2014 opening night evening entertainment with special guest JADE STARLING celebrated her CD release “Captive,” at Scores, Monday, August 11, 8pm and the closing after party immediately followed the DJ of the Year Awards with DJs SKRIBBLE, NUTRITIOUS and JACKIE McCLOY, director, New York Music Pool, at Ego Lounge, Trump Taj Mahal, Wednesday, August 13, 10:30pm.
