BAFICI’s Buenos Aires Lab (BAL) goes to Cannes

This year’s edition of the Marché du Film will see a round of new talent and screenings which will present some of the brightest and best filmmakers from Latin America.

For the second time this year, BAFICI’s Buenos Aires Lab (BAL) in collaboration with the Marché du Film will present four Latin American works-in-progress.

This quartet of projects will be shown at a special screening (15 minutes each) with the directors and producers in attendance, as part of the BAL Goes to Cannes initiative.

The event will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 4pm to 6pm in Palais K, Salle Bory, Palais des Festivals, Level 4. Access will be granted with a Marché or Festival badge.

All four films are either shooting or in the post-production phase. This year’s selection includes:

• Ela Volta Na Quinta (She Comes Back on Thursday) by André Novais Oliveira (Brazil)

• La Princesa de Francia (The Princess of France) by Matias Piñiero (Argentina)

• Los Ausentes (The Absent) by Nicolas Pereda (Mexico)

• Lulez by Luis Ortega (Argentina)
