Funding, funding, funding.

As screenwriters, we wanted our scripts bought and made. But, we don't know any producers, so you stop writing and start directing and producing your own films.

Of course, the problem is always funding. You need a lot of money to shoot a short, let alone a feature. Well, we also had a problem with the idea of a select few judges deciding if you are going to make it 'in' to a festival.

So we decided to make a festival where the community decides what is good and what to fund!

It works like this: WRITERS JUDGE FILMMAKERS, AND FILMMAKERS JUDGE WRITERS.

The judge-to-entry ratio is eliminated, because everyone in their cohort is judged a relatively equal number of times. The filmmakers want the best script, because they are going to shoot it. And the writers want the best filmmaker, because they want the best filmmaker to shoot their script.
