New NYMPHOMANIAC Poster -- A Thinking Man's Picture

A new Nymphomaniac poster has been revealed by the Lars von Trier work shop. Uppity and coming American actor Shia Labeouf wearing glasses like a true intellectual should is pictured approaching an intellectually detached Charlotte Gainsbourg to lap up some love juice. Charlotte holds a half eaten apple of temptation aloft but is absorbed in her reading. Both actors are of course nude. The inspired graphic artist of this thinking man's movie poster must surely have had in mind the immortal opening line of the Linda Lovelace epic "Deep Throat" where a young lady in a similar situation lighting up a cigrette addresses her oral pleasure provider with the immortal line: "I hope you don't mind if I smoke while you eat".   While some may think this poster is a wee bit over the top (bottom?) it is in fact the perfect embodiment of the film's intention, which is to demonstrate that sexual obsession is a phenomenon of mind over matter ~ so, why get all worked up over it?  One wonders how much an original of this magnificent chef d'oeuvre of poster art will eventually go for at Sotheby's.
