TWIFF Mission

TWIFF is a filmmaker’s festival. A festival hosted by filmmakers in the heart of the Silicon Valley.

TWIFF is dedicated to showcasing new and innovative films while fostering the next generation of filmmakers. The festival also seeks to serve the community by presenting unique programs that educate, inspire, engage and challenge a diverse audience through the art of film. The festival provides a platform to introduce their films to the broadest possible audience. TWIFF is committed to providing opportunities to fellow filmmakers and all others in bringing cinematographic arts and other related entertainment products through high-profile community events, talent, productions and films from around the country and the world.

BRIDGING THE GAP

Given today’s technological advancements, the world has grown smaller. Filmmakers are more attuned now to each other’s works and yet brilliant developing world filmmakers are often still overlooked.

The festival, in promoting and celebrating cultural diversity as well as helping elevate the status of developing world filmmakers, extends an invitation to filmmakers worldwide to participate in the festival and showcase their unique and original stories. This would help push the envelope of filmmaking by providing their own perspective of emerging world issues through the various genres of film.

A new age in cinema will rise through films the audience has long waited for: an exhilarating experience of foreign cultures and worlds they have never seen, films that, perhaps, will forever change the industry and society.

All genres of film are accepted by TWIFF and each will be judged thoroughly by accomplished award winning directors, producers and industry executives. Awards will be distributed among the 11 categories, giving filmmakers the opportunity to be noticed.
