Berlinale 2014: First Films for Competition and Berlinale Special
The first seven films for the 64th Berlin International Film Festival Competition programme have been selected. Joining opening film Grand Budapest Hotel, and Monuments Men, both announced in November, productions and co-productions from Canada, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Spain, United Kingdom and the US are the newest additions to the Competition programme.
As part of the official programme, Berlinale Special will feature current works by contemporary filmmakers, documentaries and unique formats. Four productions have already been invited.
More information regarding programme selections will be announced in the coming weeks.
