“Bustin Chops” Creators Sow Their Mischief in Loews Lobby

Watch out, Hollywood, here come the Afrikaaners! Eugene Koekemoer and Danie Barnard, South Africa’s self-proclaimed “original stunt crew” are flying in from Pretoria to promote their domestic hit “Bustin Chops” at this year’s American Film Market at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel Lobby on Thursday, November 7 at high noon.

       Eugene Koekemoer, who stars in “Bustin Chops,” has promised “no rotten alligator eggs” and “our feet will stay on the ground at all times” while in attendance at AFM. “If you want to see us get really crazy, you’ll have to come to the ‘Bustin Chops’ screening on Friday at 11 a.m. in Loews #1,” says director Danie Barnard.

       Koekemoer and Barnard both produced and directed the film and appear as guests of AFM exhibiting company Leomark Studios, which represents “Bustin Chops” outside South Africa.

       “Bustin Chops” recently sold TV and DVD rights in South Africa for six figures, and Leomark has set meetings with several US and foreign distributors during the first five days of AFM.
