A retrospective and an exhibition on Ulrich Seidl in Molodist



 

 

The 43rd IFF Molodist will be held on October 19-27, 2013. Kiev cinema hall is its festival centre. The festival will also be held inZhovten and Kinopanorama cinema halls and Master Class cultural and educational center.

Ukraine palace will host the opening ceremony on October, 19. Andrzej Wajda's Wałęsa  is announced the opening film of Molodist. The film will be premiered today at the Venice IFF. The festival follows its tradition and gives a start with the film of well-known Polish director. The latest Wajda's film is a story of Lech Wałęsa, the winner of the Nober Peace prize and Polish ex-president.

Austrian director Ulrich Seidl will be the festival special guest. Molodist audience will be the first in the world to see the full retrospective of the famous director. Seidl's photo exhibition Love. Faith. Hope will be shown in Kyiv. It's dedicated to director'sParadise trilogy. It will be also screened in Kyiv. Exhibition comprises of 42 original photos crystallizing director's view at the modern world.

Molodist will also screen the retrospective program Hommage to 100 dedicated to centenarians of 2013: Stanley Kramer, Vivien Leigh, Marika Rökk, Irwin Shaw, René Clément etc.
