Films from SIFF's selection awarded at Golden Rhyton

Two awards - for Best Documentary and the Award of the Bulgarian National Cinematheque received The Boy Who Was A King at the 19th Festival of the Bulgarian Documentary and Animation Film "Golden Rhyton". Andrey Paounov's film was first screened during the 16th Sofia International Film Festival in March 2012. 

"Golden Rhyton"'s Jury - Kostadin Bonev, a president and members Nikolay Mihaylov, Andrey Tzvetkov, Lyudmila Dyakova and Penka Kalinkova, awarded more titles that were first screened during the most prestigious Bulgarian cinema event.

The Rules of Single Life by Tonislav Hristov, which was chosen as Best Documentary by SIFF's audience in March 2011, received the "Golden Rhyton" award for Best Script.

Borislav Kolev's Stoichkov was named Best Documentary Debut. The film was Sofia International Film Festival's official closing screening.

The Best Documentary Director's award was received by Mihail Meltev for his film To The Left of the London-Calcutta Highway, which was part of the Documentary Programme in 2012.   

Antoniy Donchev's Random Guests from a Passing Train and Georgi Tenev's Houben Paints Money received a Special Mention. Both films had premieres during the last SIFF.

Father by Ivan Bogdanov was named Best Animation. Father, as well as Svilen Dimitrov's Rew Day, which received a Special Mention, were part of Jameson Short Film Award. 

Sofia's Last Ambulance by Iliyan Metev received the award for Best Visual Direction. One of the most acclaimed documentaries of 2012 started its way from Sofia Meetings.
