Republican Unitary Enterprise National Film Studio "BELARUSFILM"

Film
Studio “Belarusfilm” is one of the leading studios in Eastern Europe with a
complete range of facilities from pre-production to full digital post
production. The Studio is located in the center of Minsk, capital of the
Republic of Belarus, only minutes from five star hotels, restaurants and
shopping. The studio complex of services, offices, and departments occupies 25
acres. The studio has film and digital cameras, up-to-date lighting equipment,
grip and dolly packages, a film processing lab and complete digital post
production editing and sound suites.

There
are three sound stages (1,000 square meters, 800 square meters and one 200
square meters) built for feature films, commercials and music videos.

In
addition to the facility, “Belarusfilm” provides:

One
of Europe’s best costume departments with more than 80,000 men’s and women’s period
and contemporary outfits; a Prop House containing more than 25,000 property and
set dressing items, including furniture, pictures, sledges, carts, cabs,
coaches; plus a 2,000-piece prop armory with pistols, guns, automatic weapons
and  artillery systems. 

A
Transportation department with production and picture vehicles. 

Film
Lab with processing for negative film (ECN-2 process), developing of positive
film (ECP-2 process), and developing black and white film (D-96 ). 

Film
scanning and output of negative and positive, and computer digital color
correction. 

Full
digital sound recording facilities, sound track production, and orchestral
score recording.

The
Studio also has a backlot shooting site located 25 minutes from Minsk that
occupies about 222 acres. The landscape is diverse, encompassing coniferous,
broad-leaved and mixed forests, two lakes, meadows, fields and a deep ravine as
well as a (permanent set) period village on one of the lakes. The backlot also
has quarters for crew and extras as well as catering facilities.
