Space Shuttle Pavilion Opening Ceremony Video Coverage

The Space Shuttle Pavilion Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum (Pier 86, Hangar 3), New York, was held during day two of SAMSUNG SpaceFest 2012, Thursday, July 19, 11:00am. SpaceFest celebrated the new home of NASA’s Space Shuttle Enterprise, a prototype that conducted critical tests within Earth’s atmosphere in 1976 and transported to New York in April 2011.

Come experience the awesomeness of the Space Shuttle Enterprise and interactive exhibition within the Space Shuttle Pavilion! It dramatically sits 10 feet off the ground with an observation platform that allows visitors to walk underneath the Enterprise and view it head on. Space Shuttle Pavilion is open to the public. SAMSUNG SpaceFest runs from July 18-22, 2012 at the Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum complex, New York. It highlights American achievement and space exploration discovery, showcasing NASA exhibits & displays, Astronaut presentations, free outdoor screening of Star-Trek, free concert and educational demonstrations honoring aeronautics and space exploration past, present and future such as the Mars Rover Curiosity, a robotic mission landing on Mars August 6, 2012.
