Variety's Army Archerd dies at 87

Variety's Army Archerd, who became an industry institution and beloved figure in his more than half a century at Daily Variety, died Tuesday in Los Angeles. He was 87 and will be missed by his colleagues and peers.
I met him in my tenure at Sony's distribution, he was a gentleman.
