The famous
Serbian director, actor, producer and writer Lazar Ristovski is at the 48th International Antalya
Golden Orange Film Festival for the special screening of his latest film, ‘WHITE
LIONS’.
Ristovski who has become world-renowned actor, after appearing the award-winning Emir
Kusturica film, “Underground”, will get
together with the audience for the Q&A session after the screening of his
film. Ristovski will also hold a
workshop with the students of the Akdeniz University in Antalya.
The ‘48th International
Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival’ has kicked off on the 8th
October and it will end 14th October 2011.
This year the festival is organized
by the Antalya Culture and Art Foundation (AKSAV) and Antalya
Metropolitan Municipality. Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, held annually since 1963, is
the most important International film festival in Turkey. This year’s main
theme is ‘…And the Woman Touched the
World’ and all the juries including National, Shorts and Documentaries
Competitions, are formed of female members.
Born in
Yugoslavia in 1952, Lazar Ristovski has appeared over 40 films and won
countless numbers of awards. Some of his
works are; ‘THE WHITE LIONS’ (2011), ‘WHITE SUIT’ (1999) - Semaine de la
Critique, Cannes Film Festival, ‘DEVIL’S
TOWN’ (2009).
