Leave it to the Danish to shine (or plaster headlines whatever the case may be) when it comes to cinema. Few can compete with the films churning out of the Danish Film Institute and here goes another one! By director Birgitte Staermose this is the latest editing opus of editor extraordinaire Anne Osterud, the Danish editing genius that cut films like WORLDS APART (2008) and THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO (2009) now has her latest work at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF) with ROOM 304 (2011).

"The spa town of Karlovy Vary will soon be welcoming more than 200 films from around the world to participate in one of summer's important film events. Taking part in this 46th edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival are four Danish films, two in competition.

Birgitte Stærmose's debut feature "Room 304" will enjoy its world release in the official selection. Featuring an impressive cast of Danish and international actors, "Room 304" is an atmospheric multi-plot drama revolving around a mysterious gunshot resonating in the hallways of a Copenhagen hotel. Stærmose won great critical acclaim for her short film "Out of Love", earning her a Special Mention in Berlin."...
