Sylvia Kristel: I have no unfulfilled dream

Could you tell us about the storyline and especially your part in 2 Sunny Days? Did you know the director before?



In 2 Sunny Days
a small group of tourists get loose in the  mountains. I play a weird
woman belonging to a sect, Christian Marain (82) played my Alzheimer
stricken husband. But Maya Sansa and Bristol Pomeroy are the main
characters and they play a couple in trouble. The film is about
relationships.



How do you feel during the shooting process, do you experiences something new in this process?



We
were lucky to have Ognjen S. as a director. I met him at the IFF
Vlissingen where he asked me if I was still acting and would I like to
read his last script? I never expected to hear from him, it took a while
to find funds but to my big surprise I found myself in Croatia. Ognjen
took a lot of time for rehearsals and I loved that. He listened to his
actors and was also precise in his directions. We had a small wonderful
crew and the best catering people ever!! And we were shooting in the
beautiful rough nature of Croatia!! So the shooting went very well.



What could make you agree to take part in a film project – the script, the director, what are the

challenges for you as actress?



The script is most important, the director also. The biggest challenge is to walk and talk at the same time.



What you find interesting in the movies of young filmmakers, especially in European cinema?



There should be more money for young filmmakers.



Which are the books that you are reading these days?



I am reading FREEDOM of Jonathan Franzen at the moment.



As
I understood, you are permanently living in Amsterdam, it seems quite
attractive to live in this town, is there something that makes it
special and attractive for you, personally?



It is
wonderful to live in Amsterdam because it is close to Utrecht where my
sun lives. We have lunch at Tokyo Cafe in Amsterdam  twice a month.



Could you share with us how your typical day passes, these days?



Ideally
a typical day would start with breakfast at 9 o'clock, go to the
fittnesscenter, lunch at 12.30, shop for grocery's and  newspapers,
check e-mail and correspondence. And after that, depending on the 
weather a powerwalk of 30 minutes. Diner, tv and bed.



Do you have a list of places, cities that you are always willing to return or would like to explore?



Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona etc.



What do you make you smile?



Nice people, babys and dogs.

What do you make you cry?



Films like Love Story always make me cry.



Your favorite season?



Spring.



Your favorite song?



I love Beatlesongs.



Do you have special mantra for good luck?



I put on the right sock first.



Do you have an advice for young people who want to make movies?



Believe in your dream and work at it!!!



Do you have an unfulfilled dream?  



No unfulfilled dream but a deep wish to remain healthy.
