Take Shelter- A Must See

Plagued by a series of apocalyptic visions, a young husband and father questions whether to shelter his family from a coming storm, or from himself. The film was first shown at the Sundance Film Festival were it received rave reviews, then it made its way across the big pond to Cannes. This knockout prestige picture is a masterfully controlled piece of work on every level -- from its precise modulation of mood to its piercing emotional accuracy, its impeccable craftsmanship and breathtaking imagery. Rarely have electrical storms, cloud formations and glowering skies had such an unnerving impact or expressed such dark visual poetry. I viewed this film in  the La Licorne theater and spoke with some of the audience leaving the film and a majority of people I interviewed all said the exact same thing :This is a must See! , I cant believe that happened! , and I think Im going to see the film again!
