Goya Award winner last year (Celda 211), Luis Tosar gets his fifth nomination having already won 3 times this award.He plays Costa, the film´s producer, who couldn´t care less about the film´s content. He´s not worried about what happened yesterday, never mind 500 years ago. He just wants the film finished on time and within budget. He has recently won the Jose Maria Forqué award, considered as the rate for the Goya Awards, and gives him a bit of advantage from the rest of nominees.The film is fighting to get the nomination for the Best Film in a Foreign Language category next 25th January.

Javier Bardem in Biutiful

This is Bardem´s 8th nomination. He´s won the Goya Award 4 times.Academy Award winner Javier Bardem (No country for old men) has already won several awards for his portray of a desperate father about to die of cancer. Cannes was the kick off for this film directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. Ryan Reynolds in Buried

Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, has made thre break through the Spanish Academy members with his portray of an Iraq-based American truck driver Paul Conroy (Reynolds), who, after being attacked, finds himself buried alive in a wooden coffin, with only a lighter, flask, flashlight, knife, glowsticks and a mobile phone to help him escape before the oxygen in the coffin runs out. Since its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, the film has received an overwhelmingly positive critical reception and it´s a firm candidate to win Best Film Goya Award.
