39th Annual 2011 Dance on Camera Festival Lineup

The 39th Annual 2011 Dance on Camera Festival (DCF2011) in New York will commence January 25-February 1, 2011, at the Baryshnikov Arts Center, Beacon High School, Judson Memorial Church, and the Walter Reade Theater. The international touring festival presented by Dance Films Association and The Film Society of Lincoln Center, annually showcase outstanding dance films that preserve and support dancers adaptation of their choreography by emerging and established filmmakers from around the world.

This year's festival will showcase 41 films representing 12 countries, introductory and Q&A sessions, lectures, panel discussions, photography exhibit, receptions, awards ceremony, and special presentations. In addition, the outdoor public Big Screen Project (BSP1) will present a slate of DCF2011 BSP1 short films. For further information, visit http://dancefilms.org. 2011 Dance on Camera Festival Opening Night World Premiere of CLAUDE BESSY, LIGNES D’UNE VIE (Traces of a Life), directed by Fabrice Herraul, will be held at the Walter Reade Theater, Friday, January 28, 2011, 6:00pm.

2011 Dance on Camera Festival Closing Night N.Y. Premiere of DANCING DREAMS (Tanz Traume), directed by Anne Linsel and Rainer Hoffman will be held at the Walter Reade Theater, Tuesday, February 1, 8:00pm. Watch trailer
