DOCUMENTA MADRID 11: Last month to send your documentary!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Until December 31, 2010 we have opened the inscription for Documenta
Madrid 11. This is the third second year we request PREMIER IN SPAIN
REQUIRED. Access to the registration online clicking here.



In addition, this year Documenta Madrid invites you to vote for the
best documentaries of the decade (2001-2010). For this reason, at the
end of the registration entry you will find a form in which to fill in
your 10 favorite documentary films of this past decade. Using all the
answers received, we will draw up a list of the best documentaries of
the decade, and the top vote-getters will be included in a documentary
series to be screened during the festival.



COMPETITIVE SECTIONS



DOCUMENTA MADRID 2011, will have two competitive sections, divided into
five categories of competition. The festival itself will decide whether
to include the submitted films into any one of them, or to schedule
them in the out-of-competition programming:



INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

This section has three categories:



FULL-LENGTH DOCUMENTARIES

For films exceeding 45 minutes in length, previously unreleased in
Spain, and exhibiting a narrative or informative point of view, or one
that is of social interest regarding current events in our world.

ORIGINAL FULL-LENGTH  DOCUMENTARIES

For films exceeding 45 minutes in length, previously unreleased in
Spain, and featuring an original or innovative perspective in terms of
both form and content.

DOCUMENTARY SHORT FILM

Documentary films up to 45 minutes in length that do not make up part of a series.





NATIONAL COMPETITION

For films previously unreleased in Spain whose production is entirely or
mostly of Spanish nationality. This section has two categories:



FULL-LENGTH FILMS(for films exceeding 45 minutes in length)

SHORT FILMS (films up to 45 minutes in length that do not make up part of a series).





AWARDS

The Juries, to be made up of professionals from the worlds of film, art,
culture, and the public, who will participate by voting, will decide
which of the films competing in all the Official Sections are to be
granted the following official awards.



INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION:



FULL-LENGTH DOCUMENTARIES

-    FIRST PRIZE OF THE JURY,  to be awarded 10,000 € and a trophy.

-    SECOND PRIZE OF THE JURY,  to be awarded 5,000 € and a trophy.

-    HONORABLE MENTION OF THE JURY, to be awarded a diploma.

-    AUDIENCE AWARD to be awarded 3.000 € and a diploma.

ORIGINAL FULL-LENGTH  DOCUMENTARIES

-    FIRST PRIZE OF THE JURY,  to be awarded 10,000 € and a trophy.

-    SECOND PRIZE OF THE JURY,  to be awarded 5,000 € and a trophy.

-    FIRST PRIZE OF THE JURY,  to be awarded 4,000 € and a trophy.

-    SECOND PRIZE OF THE JURY,  to be awarded 3,000 € and a trophy.

-    AUDIENCE AWARD, to be awarded 2.000 € and a diploma.

-    AVID AWARD for best editing. To be awarded Avid software.
