CALL FOR ENTRIES

METROPOL’HIS
RULES

1-
Only original short films, not being showed in previous editions, and
produced after 2007, are eligible. The content can be fiction or
documentary. Participants need to be younger than 35 years when they
finished their short films.

2-
Short
films are eligible for the following awards, including a stattuete:

Best
fiction or documentary shorts:

First price: 750 euros + stattuete.

Second price: 350 euros
+
stattuete.

Best animation shorts:

-
First price: 500 euros +
stattuete.

Second price: 250 euros +
stattuete.

-
Best young filmmakers short:
300 euros +
stattuete.

-
Special Jury Mention: 250 euros +
stattuete.

Audience award: 250 euros +
stattuete.

Submission
deadline is December 20^th
2010.

4-
The minimum shorts length is 3 minutes, and can not exceed 20
minutes. Copies have to be delivered in DVD PAL format.

5-
Movies shoot on a foreign language has to be subtitled in catalan or
spanish.

Participants allow the organization to exhibit their work in the
festival and organization entity (JIS) events. Works can be used as
well for promotion proposes of the festival, and will be cast on
Televisió de L’Hospitalet if the organization decides to. Works
will not be brought back to their authors and will be part of the
entity’s video library.

The
reception of Works will be confirmed via email.

9-
The organization will determine if the received works are adequate to
the festival rules, and will be delivered afterwards to a jury
designed to elect the winner works. The verdict will be indisputable,
and awarded categories could be declared void.

10-
Obtaining the economic award will be conditioned to the presence of
the author, or a representative person of the work, in the awards
ceremony. Organization will communicate the verdict soon enough to
facilitate the travel and the confirmation of attendance.

11-
Participation on the V FESTIVAL JOVE DE CURTMETRATGES URBANS DE
L’HOSPITALET implies the full acceptance of these rules. Any
unanticipated situation, not included in these rules will be solved
according to the Festival’s organization criteria.
