Synopsis
Lynn Zapatek, a chambermaid in a large hotel, has a deathly fear of human interaction yet she craves intimacy. A chance encounter prompts her to emerge from her cocoon.
Director
Born in Hamburg, Germany in 1970, Ingo Haeb is an actor, writer and director. In 1999 he graduated from the Cologne Academy of Media Arts with Derby as his thesis film. He then attended the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. Selected filmography: THE DAY BOBBY EWING DIED (2005, co-directed with Lars Jessen), NEANDERTAL (2006, co-directed with Jan-Christoph Glaser), one of the episodes of FUSSBALLFIEBER (2006) and SOHNEMÄNNER (2010). THE CHAMBERMAID LYNN earned Best Actress (for Vicky Krieps' performance) at the recent Munich Film Festival.

C'est la crise financière. Il y a peu d'emplois à combler, aucune volonté d'en créer et peu de ressources disponibles. L'appauvrissement de la société est aussi bien économique que social. C'est dans cette atmosphère que Flavia, une adolescente gâtée aux aspirations artistiques, apprend qu'elle n'est pas acceptée à l'université. Martin, son voisin, un homme mûr, est tout le contraire d'elle. Lorsqu'ils font connaissance, on sent de la friction entre les deux et la situation ne s'améliore guère avec le temps. pour vivre ensemble, ne serait-ce que pour finalement donner un sens à leur existence.
