Annual Film Festival Pays Tribute to Popular 70’s Film Stars

The Pocono Mountains Film Festival was founded by Bridget Davis in 2003 to provide independent filmmakers with a forum to present their films to a wider audience of professionals in the industry, and to introduce new innovative films to residents and visitors in the Pocono Mountains region. Situated in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania, the annual Pocono Mountains Film Festival is a multi-day, multi-event celebration offering film screenings, workshops, symposia, concerts, and other related special events. The Pocono Mountains Film Festival is designed to facilitate networking, information sharing, and creative exchange among industry professionals and newly emerging independent filmmakers, encouraging the participation of skilled artists in areas of producing, direction, screenwriting, acting, cinematography, composing, editing and production design. The Pocono Mountains Film Festival is also committed to encouraging the development and growth of filmmaking in the Pocono Mountains region through mentoring, education, and promotion of the work of local professionals, as well as working to attract projects from outside the region that would utilize the talents of local artists and the resources and services of local communities. The Pocono Mountains Film Festival will continue to focus on issues of concern that deserve greater media attention such as breast cancer awareness and the plight of the military veteran in society.
