Edinburgh Short Film Festival

Welcome to The Edinburgh Short Film Festival, Edinburgh’s newest film event. Derived from the hugely successful Leith Short Film Festival, the Edinburgh Short Film Festival will carry on the mission to screen high-quality UK & International short films alongside excellent local talent. The Leith Short Film Festival has been running since 2005 and has attracted large audiences and much critical attention from filmmakers around the world.

We have screened films from India, Argentia, Somalia, Iraq, Iran, Germany, Norway, France, Italy, Spain, Holland, Portugal, Albania and from all over Britain. Submissions have even been received from a Navajo Reservation. Every year we also attract filmmakers to the festival and hold great networking events. We are also running some invaluable and inexpensive film workshops aimed at developing skills and providing insights and techniques for grass-roots film-makers.

The festival will take place in early June 2012, dates and times to be confirmed.

About Edinburgh Short Film Festival

Bruce Paul

This is Edinburgh's only dedicated international short film festival.

Drawing films from as far abroad as Canada and Korea, we boast high standards and excellent quality films. You are certain to see something new and interesting.

We also aim to inspire and promote British films, and have one night dedicated to British short films.
