Le couple venait de donner naissance à une petite fille trisomique. En 1990, il lance la compagnie Ramba Zamba, dont le théâtre est aujourd'hui situé dans le Kultur Brauerei à Berlin. Composé essentiellement de comédiens handicapés, Ramba Zamba présente Hommage à Tadeuz Kantor, nouvelle création de la troupe. Et donne à voir une belle histoire d'amour et d'engagement.
