About the Director: 

Date of birth: 8 April 1974, Moscow, Russia Mr. Kirill Makarenkov has finished VGIK (State Russian University of Cinematography) in 2001. He has worked in Allrussian Museum of Decorative Applied and Folk Art for 12 years, he is a lecturer in Film History, an author of more than 30 documentary scripts and a former film critic and observer. In 2010 his debut movie as a director “The Wood Floaters” was nomenated for The National (Russian) Prime in Documentary and TV works “Laurel Brunch” (Lavrovaya vetv’) in two nomenees: The Best Documentary and The Best Cinematography and got the “brunch” for the last one.
