About the Director:

Jaryl loves a visual overload. He appreciates cinematography in a film, beautiful bokeh in a photograph, unbelievable realism in a 3D rendered image, masterful brushwork in a matte painting; the list goes on. He directed a short animated film, "Two Minutes Away From Launch," with Kew Lin as a major member, which was featured at the Singapore Science Centre as part of the Pixar exhibition, as well as several international film festivals. Once again collaborating with Kew, "The Stargazers," funded by the Singapore Film Commission's Short Film Grant, was screened in countries such as the United States, Canada and India. Currently freelancing as a Director of Photography for various short film projects, Jaryl intends to head to London to pursue a degree in film.

Kew is a visual effects artist by passion, producer by necessity and director for self-defence. He directed short film “The Stargazers”, which has been screened at several film festivals around the world. Kew is currently pursuing a VFX course in London.

Film synopsis:
It is the near future and a shocking incident with a water catchment area has left thousands dead. The cause: a waterborne virus that could possibly spread across the globe in a matter of weeks. The government enlists the help of trained professionals to seek out and inspect all water sources across the nation for signs of contamination. The protagonist is simply one of the many agents working on the case. Just another day at work for him, however, turns into a decision that could change the course of history.
