About the Producer:
Empresa fundada después de la edición nº 49 del Festival de San Sebastián, después de los contactos realizados durante el transcurso del mismo, siendo los promotores Alex Quiroga, Arturo Pimentel y Andrés Pérez, F. Pérez Jiménez, y Alberto Arocena
Siendo su fin el crear una empresa que tuviera como objetivo básico el apoyo a los nuevos y emergentes directores españoles y latinoamericanos, abarcando así un amplio abanico que comprendiera la cultura de habla hispana, que tantas expectativas suscita actualmente, como así se está demostrando en los recientes trabajos que se están presentando tanto en festivales nacionales e internacionales, hecho este que tiene su refrendo tanto por el ánimo del público como por el éxito de las críticas especializadas.
La filosofía de la empresa, parte de la idea primigenia de la creación de producciones con bajo presupuesto, más pletórica en ideas, siendo de esta manera pionera en este tipo de metodología en producciones cinematográficas, con lo cual se pudiera abarcar un mayor grado de conocimiento en cuanto a la obra de autor, a los artistas, y a todos los otros integrantes en cuanto todos ellos participan orgánicamente de la obra, la cual se entiende de forma participativa por la fusión y colaboración de los agentes convergentes en la misma, como es el caso de la ópera prima “Sucedió en España” largometraje dirigido por Alex Quiroga, “Me encanta España” cortometraje dirigido por José Luis Bravo, “Ilusiones rotas (11M)” de Alex Quiroga y otras obras que aún están en fase de postproducción, como “El baño” dirigida por el chileno Gregory Cohen, “Juego de verano” una película de la escuela de cine de Chile dirigida por Fernanda Aijaro, Matías Bize. Daniela González, Andrea Waaff y otros proyectos que aún están en fase de producción como “Almas perdidas y almas encontradas” de Alex Quiroga.
Alex Media Grupo cuenta con el apoyo de las siguientes empresas: E.G.E.D.A., Madrid Film Commission, ISKRA S.L., Laboratorios Molinare, Laya Producciones, Laya Virtual, Multicines Miró, Unión de Actores, Portal Latino, S.G.A.E. entre las más relevantes.
Actualmente, Alex Media Grupo, ha firmado un acuerdo de distribución, con la empresa chilena “MICROFILM” para hacer llegar al mercado español y europeo, las nuevas realizaciones chilenas, en correspondencia de la distribución de películas españolas en Chile, sector este que actualmente está en constante renovación.
Asimismo se está en diálogo con otras distribuidoras, principalmente de Hispanoamérica, con el objetivo de conseguir resultados similares.
