The film was nominated for the European Film Awards for the best documentary of 2006. 2001 The script writer, director and editor of the documentary «КАTORGA» («Kino-Siberia» film production company). The film was participating in different festivals, and it was awarded several prizes on the national and international film contests. 1998 The editor of the documentary film «Three Trailers» («Kino- Siberia» film production company). 1998 Graduated Higher Courses for Directing and Script Writing (Moscow), Department of Documentary Directing. 1997 The script writer and director of the documentary film «2 ½ WEEKS IN PARADISE» (West-Siberian Film Studio). Debut. The film was participating in different festivals, and it was awarded several prizes on the national and international film contests. 1995 The sound director for the documentary film «Flight to the Mars» («Kino- Siberia» film production company). 1995 Graduated from Novosibirsk State University, Department of Russian Language and Literature. 1972 Born in Kaluga Sity, Russia.

Film synopsis: 
Throughout the country old Soviet passports are being exchanged for the new Russian ones. A provincial photographer is traveling from one Siberian village to another taking 35x45 mm passport photos of the villagers. Thanks to a large number of clients and profound observation of countryside life the films turns into poetic story about world-view of people living in remote areas at the cross-roads of two cultures, of Soviet and modern Russian ones.
