Milivoj Puhlovski is born 1947. Graduated in comparative literature and french language on Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences or the Faculty of Philosophy university of Zagreb and film and TV directing on Academy of dramatic arts in Zagreb. For last 30 years works as the Professor of TV and film directing on the Academy of dramatic arts in Zagreb. Author and director of about thirty films of different genres and about ten TV movies. Director of several hunderds of episodes in different comedy/drama long running fictional TV series. Director of several documentary TV series. Film synopsis: 
<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>A feature documentary essay &ldquo;BIG FRATHER&rdquo; follows the life of urban micro-environment (Martićeva Street 14. D-F), seen from the perspective of the monument of Friar Grgo Martić, who paraphrases the &quot;Big brother&quot; controller and supervisor of anonymous fates.</p> <p>In a small park - the collective toilet of hundreds of pets from the surrounding buildings, Friar Grgo Martić peaceful memorial sits, his back and nape turned to a series of seven picturesque bars serving different purposes and clientele.</p> <p>Fifty meters long stretch, composed of the seven shops and two glazed building staircases presents, in fact, seven micro-worlds, which (kakofonicly) are composing, a kind of, macro-world segment of an urban metropolis.</p> <p>Purposes and activities of the bars,&nbsp; metaphoricaly correspond to our (human) world and life itself.</p> <p>The film was shot over two years in all seasons mostly by using hidden cameras.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&bdquo;BIG FRATHER&ldquo; is personal impression of author&#39;s close envirenement.</p>
