Troy Romeo: Director, Executive Producer, Producer, Submission Contact, Writer
A native of New York, Troy Romeo graduated with a BA in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Since then, he has worked for the Walt Disney Company and freelanced on numerous film productions, commercials, specials, TV series and live stage shows, gaining extensive experience in every facet of production.
These experiences culminated with his latest film 2095, an epic 24-minute love-story employing the use of video, 16mm and 35mm formats. Just beginning his festival run with 2095, Troy hopes to share the same success with his prior film, PAY BACK, currently airing on spike.com. PAY BACK garnered the attention of 15 festivals worldwide and Troy was requested by the IFC to be interviewed on their premiere episode of Ifilm@IFC. Additionally, Troy has directed a 30-minute, 35mm drama, OF OTHER TIME, and two music videos, one starring the Latin recording artist, Morenita. The Lifestyle Condoms contest committee recognized five of his six 20-second PSA’s for Lifestyles Condoms. Troy also directed CAPTAIN EEYORE, a highly praised parody of a former Disneyland attraction, which was inducted into the Walt Disney Studio archives.
No stranger to screenplays, Troy has recently completed the dark indie drama, PLASTIC HAS MEMORY, currently out to producers. His other works encompass nearly every genre ranging in style from the sublime to the fantastic. MASTURBATION CURES HICCUPS was a semi-finalist in The Writers Network and THE RED BARON was a semi-finalist in the Christopher Columbus Discovery Awards. Troy has written eleven feature screenplays with his twelfth, currently in development with Serial Artist.

Fesitval ArtDeco 2011 (Sao Paulo, Brazil) Short Films

Hi,

Festival ArtDeco (Sao Paulo, BRAZIL) invites directors and producers to register their short films in its 2011 edition. Quick and easy online registration and info at http://www.exotiquefilmes.com.br/information_18.html

We are looking forward to receiving your registration.

Brgds,
Fest.ArtDeco

Hello from halfamiddleman

Hello Filmmakers,
My name is Rob Mankowitz and I was the casting dir. and a producer of
the indie film "The Utopian Society" starring Malin Akerman. We were in
more than 40 film festivals...too long ago.

My producing partner and director of the film was John P. Aguirre. We
are still collaborating on indie projects. However, the big news is
that we have recently broken through the "sales agent" barrier to deal
DIRECTLY with arguably the largest independent video distributor in
North America. They can place your film on itunes, vod, cable &
other outlets. We have cultivated a strong relationship with the vp of
business development of this company who has literally said we are the
FIRST and only producers/filmmakers he will accept content from
directly! This is called an OUTPUT deal. We have overcome the greatest
obstacle in the distro game.

As filmmakers who have been put through the ringer or more precisely
ripped off in the past we understand how incredibly frustrating it can
be to put your blood, sweat and tears into making your film with the
goal of acclaim and financial reward only to find that through shady
practices you end up making pennies...if that. Most sales agents who
shop your film to various entities will charge upwards of 30% per sale
we will be SIGNIFICANTLY lower.

At this time we are seeking to partner with filmmakers who have high
quality FINISHED FILMS ready for the marketplace. If you are interested
in discussing our unique opportunity in greater detail please contact
us via phone or email. Not through this site...        ( p:323-466-1905
