Ovation TV s Short Film Contest
Ovation is the only multi-platform network devoted to art and contemporary culture. The network creates and curates one-of-a-kind programming about all the art people enjoy most, from the popular to the avant-garde and everything in between. The channel reaches a national audience of 40 million households through carriage on cable systems, DirecTV (channel 274), Dish Network (channel 157) and telco systems nationally. Submission informationWe’ll be accepting submissions from March 7 to May 13. To learn how to submit your film, please go to www.ovationtv.com/events/filmcontest. Films must be under 20 minutes. Submission categories are drama, comedy, animation and documentary. PrizesOne film will be selected as the winner for each of the following categories: Top Film, Viewers Choice, Best of Comedy, Best of Drama, Best of Animation, and Best of Documentary. The Top Film winner will have his or her film aired on the Ovation television network and receive a two (2) night trip to Los Angeles, CA for a screening of his or her film at LACMA, a meeting with an entertainment executive and Adobe production software. The Viewers' Choice, Best of Comedy, Best of Drama, Best of Animation, and Best of Documentary winners will have their films screened at LACMA and receive Adobe production software. JudgesFilms will be judged by Kevin Iwashina (Managing Partner, Preferred Content), Lucy Stille (Agent, Paradigm Agency), Charles Segars (Ovation CEO & Producer National Treasure franchise) and Owen Egerton (writer, director) among others. |
