Magmart | video under volcano

Until March 2011, will take place the VI edition of Magmart | video under volcano, international videoart festival.

The Festival is realized in partnership with CAM - Casoria Contemporary Art Museum.

PROGRAMMING

On 2011 March, 18-19, in the venue of Foundation Universal Forum of Cultures 2013, in the downtown of Naples, Italy, along two days will be screening selected videos from 6 international videoart festivals: Örebro International Videoart Festival (Sweden), Gaza International Festival for Video Art (Palestine), Oslo Screen Festival (Norway), AllArtNow (Syria), Danube Videoart Festival (Austria), Athens Video Art Festival (Greece).

A short selection of Magmart's videos will be screened at its turn in Damascus and Athens, hosted by relative festivals.

In the course of event at Foundation, will be screened the pre-selection of submitted video artworks for VI edition of Magmart, and will have place meetings and debates.

On April 16, at CAM - Casoria Contemporary Art Museum, 'hystorical' partner of festival, will have place the award-screening night of artworks selected by Jury, becomed part of Permanent Collection of CAM.

On 2011 June, finally, on the occasion of Napoli Film Festival, within section SchermoNapoli, will be screened a selection of video artworks by neapolitan artists (NapolInVideo).

Other appointments will be communicate on official website (www.magmart.it), on FaceBook page and via email (for mailing-list members).

DEADLINE

All the artworks must arrive within 2011, February, 28.  

RULES

The Festival is open to all international videoartists. Partecipation is free.

SUBMISSION WAY

Is possible to send required materials for participation (video, form, image) just in one way, online

- Filling out the form, before midnight of February, 28 2011;

- In the form, must be indicate an URL http or ftp for downloading the video (i.e.: http://www.mydomain.com/myvideo.mov) and the still-frame from video (i.e.: Http://www.mydomain.com/myimage.jpg);

- Is possible to utilize a service for big files transfer. The video and the image must be effectively available at indicated URL within the deadline.

Don't send us link to video hosted on YouTube, Vimeo or similar websites! They don't match our rules! We need your original artwork.
