Here are the conditions under which films may be submitted to the Luxembourg City Film Festival 2016
- There are no entry fees.
- We will consider submissions for the following categories : length narratives, Luxembourgish (co)productions, documentaries, kids / educational.
- We do not take into account short films at the moment.
- All entries submitted for consideration must be postmarked by the following deadline : 5th january 2016 (early submissions are welcome).
- The format for submission is DVD or a secured link (Vimeo, ...) (please contact us first if your film is in another format).
- All films that are not in French, English or German must have subtitles.
- Multiple entries from a same submitter are accepted. If multiple films are submitted, each film must be on its own DVD screener or link.
- All disks, documents, and other materials submitted for consideration will not be returned.
- We will confirm your entry by email within two weeks of receipt.
- The Festival is not liable for any copyright infringement or unauthorized usage.

In just four years Luxembourg City Film Festival has become Luxembourg’s leading cinema event. With 18,300 visitors in 2015 it is one of the European festivals that has achieved the most spectacular growth.
Supported jointly by the Ministry of Culture and the City of Luxembourg, it is the official national event. With this in mind, it is committed to presenting high-quality, exclusive content. Several continental and world premières punctuate ten days of over a hundred screenings, events, masterclasses and workshops in the three partner cinema complexes (Cinémathèque, Ciné Utopia and Utopolis) and many of the capital’s cultural institutions.
Now with its own competition, founded in 2012, for the best in international cinema (with a €10,000 prize for the winner), the Luxembourg City Film Festival also offers a high-quality selection of documentaries (with a €5,000 prize), national productions and films/activities for young audiences.
Running from 25 February to 6 March, the 2016 festival will include again two weekends, providing easier access to several special screenings and the events organised at the festival’s headquarters. It welcome audiences from the Greater Region and a rich professional scene, with about twenty production companies and nearly 800 film professionals working in Luxembourg.
