There are £5000 cash prizes available across our short film competitions and LIFF is also a qualifying film festival for the Academy Awards and BAFTA.
The winning films in the Louis Le Prince International Short Film Competition and World Animation Award are eligible for the Academy’s Short Film Awards. The festival’s British and Yorkshire short film competitions are BAFTA qualifying.

Leeds International Film Festival is the largest regional event of its kind in the UK with a widespread reputation of excellence and originality.
